Sturtevant (Benjamin F.) House is built.
1885
(ca.) It is located at 11 Revere Street. Built for the shoe and fan manufacturer, who lives here until 1889, it is subsequently occupied by Eugene Foss, Sturtevant’s foreman, who subsequently marries Sturtevant’s daughter and later becomes governor of Massachusetts governor, in 1911. The building is later used as a nursing home and is then converted to condominiums in the 1980s.
